This impulse of creativity is cultivated by the journey, the meetings, the work, the rigor for the right attitude, then the letting go of the moment, the opening to the flows that cross us, then the sharing opens in the generosity.

Ma création se décompose en 3 volets :

"ACCUEIL" avec des pièces fonctionnelles en petite série au tour
"PARTAGE" avec des pièces uniques combinant travail au tour, à la plaque et au modelage
"OUVERTURE" avec des créations selon des thématiques

My creation decomposes into 3 parts:

"HOME" with functional parts in small series on the potter's wheel
"SHARING" with unique pieces combining potter's wheel work, plate and modeling
“OPENING" with creations according to themes

Je travaille des terres de différentes provenances : pâtes céramiques pour grès et porcelaine, rarement faïence.

I work with clay from different origins: ceramic pastes for sandstone and porcelain, rarely earthenware.

A la TERRE se mêlent l'EAU et l'AIR ... reste le FEU pour la magique transformation, là où la terre s'illumine !

EARTH blends with WATER and AIR ... miss the FIRE for the magic transformation, where the earth is illuminated!

Je cuis mes pièces selon différents modes :

I cook my pieces according to different modes :

Cuisson RAKU 1000°C

J'aime le Raku pour le contact avec la matière défournée à près de 1000°C.

I like the Raku for contact with the raw material at around 1832°F

Elle rayonne, l'émail scintille comme des poussières d'étoile et puis viennent les flammes lors de la phase d'enfumage ce qui révélera les fêlures du verre avec le carbone pénétrant l'argile.

It glows, the enamel sparkles like star dust and then come the flames during the smoke phase that will reveal the cracks in the glass with the carbon penetrating the clay.

Magie de la transformation, accueil du fruit du travail après le long processus, l'attente sans impatience et le relâchement pour accueillir ce qui se présente après avoir lavé la pièce de son enfumage, son stress.

Magic of the transformation, reception of the fruit of the work after the long process, the waiting without impatience and the relaxation to welcome what presents itself after having washed the room of its smokiness, its stress.

Cuisson Gaz 1300°C

La cuisson au gaz ne nous place pas directement face au feu mais la conduite du four est particulière, on vit la flamme et on suit la température en particulier lors de cuisson "en réduction".

Gas cooking does not put us directly in front of the fire but the driving of the oven is special, we saw the flame and we follow the temperature especially during cooking "in reduction".

Cuisson électrique 700-1300°C

J'utilise le four électrique pour le premier feu de transformation définitive de la pâte en tesson céramique (autour de 1000°C), la vitrification des émaux (entre 1230 et 1300°C), ou le 3e feu pour des décors sur émail (autour de 800°C).

I use the electric furnace for the first fire of final transformation of the dough in ceramic (around 1832°F), vitrification of the enamels (between 2246°F and 2372°F), or the third fire for decorations on enamel (around 1472°F).

De l'idée à la matière, long cheminement !

From idea to subject, long journey !

La céramique est faite d'étapes assez longues entre la préparation de la terre, le façonnage, le séchage, la décoration éventuelle avec engobes, le premier feu pour l'obtention d'un "biscuit", puis le vaste champ de l'émaillage, et enfin le ou les autres feux révélant alors le travail accompli...

The ceramic is made of quite long stages between the preparation of the clay, the shaping, the drying, the possible decoration with engobes, the first fire for obtaining a "biscuit", then the vast field of enamelling, and finally the other fires revealing the work done...
